I've been using the 1D Mark IV for almost a year, after upgrading from the 1D Mark III. It was a decent upgrade, although the two camera were quite similar in design and functionality. The Mark IV is an excellent camera, and a much better fit for what I do, compared to the Mark III (weddings/concerts/road races). I also have the 5D Mark III.

The 6D has a much better sensor than the 1Ds. The 1DsIII has worse image performance than the 5D Mark II because it's a little bit older.
