Exactly. It sounds like the your typical "Alexios should have been the canon protagonist, because historical accuracy" take. If OP truly thinks that having Alexios as an option is the main issue as they're claiming here, "Kassandra should've been the only option" would've been a lot less confusing as a title.
1) They tell the story from start to finish, following the game 2) it tells a whole different story using Kassandra as the lead due to her immortality. I think the only issue would be casting, because you have to use Melissanthi for Kassandra- but Kassandra needs to be pretty muscular.
There’s a sense of humor that Alexios’ character simply isn’t as good at conveying as Kassandra. Odyssey’s recreation of ancient Greece is still jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and the most
Kassandra also has a younger brother named Alexios. Due to her monumental lineage, Kassandra is taught to fight from a very young age, with high expectations being placed on her by her Spartan peers.
Both make a great, but different Deimos. The story fits both well, though even with Kassandra being the "canon" pick, some of the story lands more towards Alexios (mainly the Olympics and how Spartan children were raised). I went with Alexios because I think he fits better overall, and I find his acting fit better with the tone and theme of the

First play was as Kassandra, could understand why everyone raved about her. Have now started a second play through as Alexios and think he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Makes the game well worth playing through again. Even though the dialogue is the same, he brings a humour and warmth to the character. Kassandra is more stern and serious.

For some reason Alexios gets a lot of criticism about his voice acting and people make him out to be much worse than he actually is. If you really play the game as him he's really not that bad and is pretty likable and charming actually. He's got a few moments where he's awkward but that's also the case for Kassandra. Regarding Kassandra's outfit >!Her gauntlets are Mercenary Gauntlets, her waistband is the Waistband of the Immortal (Fitting) without the large belt buckle but using a red waistcloth instead or orange, her torso is using Battleplate of Aries or the Spartan Hero shoulder pads, customized with the sleeves of the Persian Armour and the Heavy Athenian Breastplate as the chest piece & her boots
Alexios/Kassandra won't obtain additional copies of the weapon or armor in question. Instead, the item is upgraded to reflect the player's current level, becoming more powerful in the process.
To hear the conversation Kassandra says, you first, have to advance in the story and missions of the DLC (downloadable content). After completing the mission, Count Sheep, you have access to the secret dialogue. Collect five fragments to open a hidden door, after heading to Syke Island. You will notice that Kassandra and Eivor are angry.
Agreed. If they're going to say Kassandra and femaleEivor are canon, they should suck it up and stop being sexist and just say those 2 are the only choice. Just because Alexios was the "more popular" choice, doesn't magically make him what Ubisoft declared to be canon. And as far as the story goes, it literally doesn't matter who you choose.
Please keep it polite. The two top answers are correct - and I’ll add my own input. the game was originally written and designed with Kassandra as the sole playable protagonist and Alexios as the antagonist. Ubisoft execs believed that “women don’t sell” and “women don’t play video games.”. Yeah.
Often though, people wouldn’t have done any better and typically would do worse. Giving some leeway isn’t giving a pass. I don’t think they picked a challenge they had strong enough writing for with Odyssey staff. Recognizing a problem and knowing how to fix it are different, and the latter is where some fans complaints get too much. Given that the story is the same for Kassandra and Alexios, she is treated as his equal. No one doubts her abilities or her work. While her being the canon character does shove Alexios out of the Q1aBogN.
