knighttemplar1960 Feb 9, 2022 @ 4:42pm. At one point in time there was an issue with all the landing pads in a space station being full when a player tried to enter and that caused a bug/crash. The devs solved that by having all the ships in the space stations leave as a player is entering. So that happens every time you enter.
Since Synthesis, they shouldn't be landing at your base and if your base boundary stretches out to cover any landing pads at the trading post, those pads won't be used. If you keep your base computer 300u away from any pads and don't stretch the boundary, though, a trading post base works and looks cool.
Setting up an automatic trading system with some simple rules (I.e. sell Indium stores if buy price > 15%) might’ve made that beneficial, but the noise and lack of parking is not worth it. There being no benefit to ships actually landing at your base makes it that much more annoying.
I made a post on searching for settlements. It applies to finding a new settlement. Once you find your new settlement, click on the center town thing (forget what's called). You absolutely can change settlements anytime you want. You cannot (as of right now) have more than one settlement at the same time.

Only today did I get my own freighter and I followed your instructions exactly but to no avail -- objective still points to a spot in empty space where my buddy's freighter used to be. Thats why i built 10. My base is essentially a starport now. Landing pad wiki says: Some bugs are reported that are related to the mission.
ok so I have 6 ships and their in my freighter but i wonder if I make some landing pads and but another ship will it be at the landing pad?
When you get close enough to the landing pads you should see a little crosshair pop up, then just press land. • Worked for me once, out of about 10 attempts. Most of the time it just says "Landing area not clear," and then I'm too close and high up to reposition myself over it. [deleted] • [deleted] • [deleted] What is this? rawrnold8 • 7 yr. ago
You can essentially force a random event to find the Derelict Freighter by activating the Pulse Drive. While doing this, the Receiver scans the frequencies and leads you to the Derelict Freighter. There are multiple landing pads on the Freighter, meaning this is can be a multiplayer encounter.
But even if you manage to get a link I have only found 3 buildings that allow you to walk through the resulting door: cuboid rooms, large square prefab rooms, and other landing pads. All other structures have a pretty bad vertical shift when linked to a landing pad, which means the doorway is only 3/4 as high as it should be.
Also landing on another freighter can be useful. You can see the ships that are flying around the freighter waiting to land. One might be an exotic - so that makes the wait a bit easier ;-) edit: I also would add - I built a base in the system that had an exotic, and at least twice while I was at my base the exotic landed on the pad at my base.
Gita Jackson. No Man’s Sky ’s Foundation update allows players to finally start building bases. With limited tools, players are making beautiful new homes in the game’s refreshed universes
Terrain regenerated a little bit over my landing pad but I was able to clear it out with the terrain manipulator and so far it hasn't returned. However when I started building down, I noticed that two cuboid rooms down terrain started to regenerate, with some terrain only being able to be cleared with the terrain manipulator.
It’s the same recipe for both. CaptainGrif_. • 2 yr. ago. alternative landing pad doesn't snap to other base parts like the original does. only other difference is aesthetics. Caliphar. •. and material cost.. Landing Pad - 10 metal plating, 2 Ion Batteries, 2 Microprocessors. Alt Landing Pad - 25 carbon.
