Hello everyone! If you have Windows 7 64-bit like myself and are having issues with your mouse while trying to play San Andreas, than this solution may help fix your problem! So when I first played SA on my PC recently, I had notice that the mouse was not working and would sometimes come back everytime I go into the menu of the game.
go to Mouse Settings (Win+S, Change Mouse Settings) Go to pointers tab. Select the Link Select option, click browse, select middle finger .cur file. Done. Also Y-axis not the same as x-axis. It's because they are basically emulating a mobile version - emulating a console version, resulting in the worst possible mouse movement you could imagine. They really need to fix it, it's unplayable on PC. Selling the console version as a PC version and overlooking the basic controls is the most ignorant move.

I forgot how much trouble it is. The camera was spinning and the mouse isn't working. I installed dinput and it fixed the spinning, but the mouse still doesn't work.
If you press esc to go into the menu and then again to return to the game, there is a chance the mouse works. Basically spam escape until the mouse works. Of course, you have to do this every time you look at the map, or restart the game. But it might work for you. San Andreas doesn't work well for PC.
1 ylykdis • 3 yr. ago We have the same problem dude. What I do is I press esc twice then move my mouse constantly, until it works perfectly, about 5 mins into the game it would work normally. But that’s not always the case for me, I’ll just repeat until it’s fine. I think our problem would be, the mouse itself or the usb port.

The problem was that apparently 12 cores and 24 threads is too much to handle for the game. So in Task Manager under the Details tab I found th GTA5.exe process, righ clicked it, clicked on Processor affinity and ticked off half of the cores, and believe it or not, that actually fixed it! If your problem is that you can't move the camera with your mouse, in a car, it's completely fine, in gta vice city, you can't move the camera in a car with your mouse. You can use numpad 0,1,2,3 (if I remember good). 0fH0J.
